Donate to RSPCA Preston and District

Our branch is a separately registered charity to the National Society, and we rely on public donations and the generosity of the community. We are extremely grateful to our wonderful volunteers and supporters, as we couldn't provide welfare to animals without theirs and your help. In 2022 we rehomed 57 dogs and 80 cats!

Despite being a small charity in the heart of Preston, our average monthly running costs are £40k! You can help us to keep doing the work we love by donating in one of the following ways:

• Charity Shops - we have 3 charity shops in Longridge, Chorley and Penwortham. Shopping in them, donating to them, volunteering for them an promoting them are all ways you can help show your support for us.


• Just Giving - you can start your own fundraising page and pick us as your chosen charity. You can also make one-off or regular donations to us. 
  

  
  
  

  
  


• Events - our summer fair in 2022 raised £4k. You can support us by attending our events, and planning events for us and inviting us to attend.


• Money tins - you may see our blue tubs in your local community, if you do and you still carry any cash please consider donating, even loose change all adds up!


• Donation bins - you may have seen our blue wheelie bins in your local supermarket, please consider donating pet food in those bins for the animals in our care


• eBay - new for 2023 we launched our own eBay shop https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/rspcaprestondistrictbranch Any purchases made are donations to our charity


• QR Code - also new for 2023 is our own QR code which means we can now collect donations in the digital age, if you prefer to donate in that way

As well as the usual animal-related products we desperately need, we have also added some sundry items such as refreshments and stationary. This is to avoid using funds which would be better spent on animal welfare and to reward volunteer support.

Every penny raised goes directly to our branch so we can keep doing the work we love and rehoming as many animals as possible. Funds raised are spent on a number of items, such as, toys, treats, food, treatments, medicine, vet fees, enrichment, accessories, leads, harnesses, equipment such as chip scanners, scales etc, anything the charity may need for animal welfare.

We are often asked if we can accept donations of bedding at the centre. At the end of our drive there are two blue wheelie bins for you to drop off donations. They can be accessed any day between 8:30-4:30. We can accept towels, blankets and bedding, and any type of linen. Regrettably we can't accept duvets or pillows.
