Benson is our 5 year old Boxer cross, who has been in kennels now for over a year after being found in a bad way by the RSPCA. Benson can be described as the sweetest and most loving boy with a cheeky personality. He absolutely adores human interaction and just wants constant love and affection. Benson normally greets you with a toy in his mouth which he will very proudly show of to you. He has been on foster recently and has been a dream in the home environment.
When Benson was found he was extremely poorly due to a potato being stuck in his throat and a dish cloth in his stomach, which now means that Benson has lifelong damage to his throat. Benson is looking for a home with someone who is able to do slow feeding with him throughout the day making sure he only receives small amounts of food at one time. Benson also has mild hip dysplasia and mild subluxation on both knees.
Benson is brilliant around dogs and children, however, because of Benson’s health problems and him needing to be fed slowly, we feel Benson would be best as the only pet in the household and to live with children aged 10+.
This assessment is ongoing and aspects may change at any time.
The centre is open from 11.30-3.30pm everyday except Tuesdays when we are closed to the public.
