PROFILE

Coco is our brave 1-Year-Old Female Labrador Cross.
Coco came to us terrified of the world after being forced to live in outdoors in extremely poor conditions; she stayed in her kennel and would not leave her bed for the first few days, she would even toilet in her bed. Since then, this beautiful girl has come on leaps and bounds.
When Coco arrived, she would toilet in her bed regularly; but now this is a once in a blue moon occurrence and is now clean overnight regularly, Coco should get plenty of toileting opportunities to help her with the transition into the home.
She is a firm favourite within the centre, she LOVES LOVES LOVES playing, toys are now one of her favourite things, some of them don’t last too long but she has a great time whilst they do. Coco has been a little madam when it comes to some items and has chewed a couple of things but this is an extremely rare occurrence now.
Coco is a very gentle girl and is nervous of new people and new experiences and places so her new family need to be aware of this and be willing to take things slow and be patient with her. Once she gets to know and trust you, she wants nothing more than some good neck scratches and to play with people, she especially loves pouncing and jumping towards you.
Although she has been unsocialised most of her life she loves other dogs, she will be unsure at first and need to be introduced slowly but once she has said hello, she’s ready to be best friends.Although Coco does get on with other dogs in her new home, she will need to be the only pet whilst she settles and gets used to the world, as she will need work putting in.
Coco does have mild hip dysplasia so adopters need to be aware of this, whilst this requires no treatment now it is likely to require medication and possible treatment in the future.
Coco is looking for a quiet home with secure garden, on a quiet road with no other animals but can live with children aged 16+.
Please note, this assessment is ongoing and subject to change.
