German Shepherd Cross
3 Years Approx
Tia has been returned to us through no fault of her own.
Tia is a 3 year old German Sheppard cross.Tia has not had the best start in life and as a result can be a little wary when meeting new people and when in new environments .
She can take a couple of meetings to get to know you. Once she is familiar with you she is like your best friend, always pleased to see you and ready for fuss and fun!
Tia LOVES other dogs, however this has led to her being frustrated when she is unable to say hello to every dog she sees.
Her new owners will need to continue the work we are doing with her at the centre in order to help her learn how to meet new dogs in a calm manner. For this reason Tia will be best suited to a home where she is the only pet so she can work on her manners meeting new dogs.
Tia will need a lot of continued work in the home, it will take a lot of time for her to settle and get used to her new environment and routine. We recommend seeking the help of a behaviourist to help the new owners and Tia adjust.
With the work that Tia is require we think an adult only home will be best for Tia.
This assessment is ongoing and may change at any point in the future.
Due to Covid restrictions we are not rehoming any of our dogs with any other animals or children at this time. (Adult home 16+)
Please note that at this time we can only rehome to our local area, within 1 hour maximum driving distance of the animal centre and to households who fall into the same Tier 3 bracket.
Animals currently available for adoption will be ready to leave for their new homes in the new year after the festive period
The centre is open from 11.30-3.30pm everyday except Tuesdays when we are closed to the public.
