Tan and Chocolate
Cindy is 9 months old and is a very sweet, young girl who is always happy to be around people. She is deaf so her owners will have to understand training will be different. She is very keen to learn new skills and is picking up new hand signals with ease.
Any owners will need to be aware that she won’t be able to be off-lead in an unsecure area. She will also need further lead training whilst on lead, as she has a tendency to mouth her lead. Even though she is deaf, she can be quite vocal when wanting attention!
The ideal home for Cindy will be with an owner that has experience with deaf dogs and the use of hand signals. She may be able to live with children of secondary school age or above, but they would need to be aware not to take her by surprise and to be calm around her. She could possibly live with a compatible dog.
This assessment is ongoing and may change at any time in the future.
