Important Notice

RSPCA Preston and District Branch animal centre is not taking in any animals at the moment and will be temporarily closed to the public from Wednesday 6th December to address concerns that the operation of the centre was not meeting the normal high standards we would expect.

All of the animals on site - which includes dogs, cats and rabbits - are being transferred to other RSPCA facilities in the short term.

The branch supported by national society staff, is working to reopen the centre in the near future

In the meantime, if you are interested in rehoming an RSPCA animal other local animal centres are:

Can you help fund our vital work?

RSPCA Preston

Welcome to the RSPCA Preston and District Branch, a self-funding, separately registered charity, based in the heart of Lancashire.

Our mission is to provide safe homes to abandoned, neglected or abused animals, to nurse them back to health, rehabilitate them, and find them their forever home.

Our job is never easy, as the volumes of unwanted animal’s just keeps getting higher.

Running the Centre costs us on average, £25,000 a month and for this we rely heavily on public donations and the beautiful generosity of the community to keep our doors open.

Whilst we receive a small amount of funding from the National RSPCA, we do not receive any government or Lottery funding at all, which is why your help is so important. Animal food, veterinary treatments and medication, alongside the endless centre running costs and repairs are all reliant on locally raised funds, which is why every penny helps.

Our newly refurbished Veterinary Clinic, in partnership with Myerscough Vets (My Vet) is an essential service for our local community, providing basic veterinary treatment for those in desperate need. We also rely heavily on volunteers and the kind hearts of the community, and are always in need of anyone with a spare few hours to help, from dog walkers,to help at our fundraising events.

Our Safe Haven scheme provides loving homes for hundreds of animals in needs of a safe environment, and you can get involved by sponsoring one of our Kennels, here at the RSPCA.

Every penny counts for us here at RSPCA Preston, to help give these animals the future they deserve.
